Grace is strange. So are we.
Odd Grace Community is a progressive-Christian ministry, for and by people in recovery interested in spiritual growth. We are a holy experiment in what it means to be Christ’s church without walls (metaphorically or like actual, physical, walls. Seriously, fuck walls).
As people in recovery, we have seen some shit. We have also done some shit. Very little surprises us. Together with each other and God, all of our shit gets a lot lighter though. Together with each other and God we can make a less-shitty world (starting with this little space on the internet).
Don’t worry, you don’t have to be in any specific type of recovery to join us. We define recovery broadly—as anything that gives you more life. Whether that means “sober” by traditional means, harm reduction, leaving toxic religion, coming out as your true self, or recovering from patriarchy, colonialism, and diet culture—if you want to grow in community, you are welcome here.
Grow in Grace
Our monthly prayer service podcast is just the beginning. We believe that connection with God and each other is what it’s all about, so we want you to know what we’re up to so you can join in.
Subscribe to The Oddball Bulletin to have Odd Grace Community’s prayer services, reflections, and other announcements emailed directly to you. You’ll find out when Circles are meeting, get invites to events with our partners, and read reflections from community members like you.
Let us know what you’d be interested in learning or leading.

Vicar 7
Hi. I’m Sar7ah “7” O’Riordan (she/her/hers), and I’m the founder and Main Mischief Maker of Odd Grace Community. I’m in long-term recovery from alcoholism, family of origin issues, toxic religion, an eating disorder, and honestly a bunch of other stuff (but aren’t we all!?!?!). I’m also a Master of Divinity Student at Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University preparing for ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. I don’t get paid for my work with Odd Grace and neither does anyone else right now.
I’m an aggressively friendly mid-Westerner currently serving my pastoral internship in Denver, CO and hoping to learn to snowboard. You can creep on me and see pictures of the time I broke my arm skating on Instagram @Rev.7.Sk8s.
Odd Grace Community is supported by community contributions. We need you much more than your money, but we do need your money.
